We could just write ‘get Xbox Game Pass’ and get it over with but over the weekend we tested many games and are now ready to provide you with a top 5. Our full reviews for Xbox Series X games are dropping this week!
5: Tetris Evolved
A €40 Tetris game? (Or included with Xbox Game Pass) It isn’t the cheapest Tetris game but it might be the most fun one! The 4K particle effects look fantastic and it sounds incredible too! A perfect game to play with local or online friends. Personally speaking this a perfect game for Quick Resume too, as I regularly changed to this game while playing Valhalla and Like a Dragon.
4: Yakuza: Like a Dragon
A perfect entry for this popular game franchise, there is no need to have played the previous Yakuza games. Silly and over-the-top gameplay gives you a game that can easily take more than 100 hours to finish. On Xbox Series X it is lovely to play in a smooth 60 FPS and remarkable fast loading times.
3: Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla
60 FPS in full 4K resolution, impressive stuff Valhalla on Xbox Series X. While there isn’t such a drastic visual difference as our number one, Watch Dogs. It is still a clear improvement with better shadow quality and the obvious faster loading times.
2: Gears Tactics
Gears Tactics was an important game for Microsoft on PC and it is finally available on Xbox consoles too. 4K and 60 FPS on the Xbox Series X it is one of the most impressive games you can play. With a different gameplay focus, this managed to surprise many gamers, including me!
1: Watch Dogs: Legion
Without a doubt the most visually impressive game you can play on your Xbox Series X, the ray-tracing is a sight to behold. Looking massively better compared to the Xbox One X and best of all, switching characters doesn’t require waiting as loading times are very, very short. We wrote our Watch Dogs Legion review based on the Xbox One version, it is only better now!
