Fortnite | This just looks like so much fun. I really dig the art style, the combination of both cheerful looking characters and landscapes with the zombie-like monsters somehow actually works well in this one. At heart, I’m still a kid, and I can’t wait to build an impressive fort with my friends and defend it against evil.
Raiders of the Broken Planet | I love co-op shooters, and the combination of gunplay and a proper melee system really speaks to me. It makes the combat look more organic than what is usually the case in shooters. It’s nice that you can also play this in single player if you don’t feel like having to work together and just want to wreck enemies by yourself.
Path of Exile | This game has been out on PC already for some time, and I’ve almost bought this in the past, but so far I haven’t. I prefer to play games on the Xbox One. So I’m pleased that I’ll be getting a chance to play this action RPG on my console. A game in the same vein as Diablo 3, but with some different game mechanics, should make this a release to keep your eye on.
Player Unkown’s Battlegrounds | Already owning and having played this game on PC, I almost didn’t put this on the list. However, I do prefer to game on Xbox, and it’s such a well-designed and exciting game that I can’t wait to see how this battle royale game will work out on the console. I can see myself playing this for many hours, either in a squad with friends or go at it solo.
Fable Fortune | This made my list because I do enjoy seeing card games released on console. My only reservation is that a lot of these free to play collectible card games tend to be incredible money sinks if you want to be truly competitive. I have stopped playing Hearthstone for that very reason. On the other hand, I also do enjoy a nice pack opening, so I’m not against buying packs, as long as I can do it in moderation and still be able to compete.
