Sometimes, there are games that don’t immediately catch your attention, but you still hope they will amaze you. Introducing the game I’m Oh, So Busy…: A Week with Yoshimi. This is a dark comedy/drama visual novel that follows the life and times of a girl named Yoshimi, who is starting the next chapter of her life. This recent game was developed and published by The Berry Guild. I am usually not a visual novel game kind of girl, but hey, let’s give it a try!
We played as Yoshimi for 2 hours on PC.
Let me get straight to the point: I’m Oh, So Busy…: A Week with Yoshimi is not worth 8 Euros, I think. The only thing I really liked about this game was Yoshimi’s expressions because she had quite a lot. Other than this, there were a number of things that I quite disliked. This game should be a dark comedy/drama but it wasn’t dark, it wasn’t funny, and it wasn’t dramatic. I didn’t feel any attachment to Yoshimi at all, she just kept talking to herself mostly and spend an annoying amount of time talking about cupcakes. Also, I feel like nothing really happens in the story? I mean, her pet gets sick, she deals with a new job, but ultimately, I was kind of bored? Maybe visual novel games aren’t my thing and you’ll actually love following Yoshimi’s story, so there’s a demo if you want to give this one a try before actually purchasing it.
