Our top picks for April!

It’s already another month, full of fun game surprises. Above all, let us know which game you want to play immediately!

My pick is Top Spin 2K25: Since childhood I have a weakness for tennis, together with my grandmother we always watched all the grand slams. Of course, I grew up with Kim Clijsters and Justin Henin, so Belgium is heavily rewarded with tennis quality. Virtua Tennis, Top Spin and a few other tennis games were therefore my moments of glory. Unfortunately, they are not in Top Spin 2K25 but other legends like Federer, McEnroe and Sampras are in it. I’m looking forward to it immensely, it’s a bit of a wait though because the game doesn’t come out until April 26.

I’m looking forward to Final Fantasy XVI’s DLC: The Rising Tide. I was pleasantly suprised with FF16, not that much a shocker for a longtime Final Fantasy fan maybe, but this release somehow never got me excited until the demo released. The previous DLC was a nice excuse to dive back into the world as Ifrit and kick some overpowers enemy’s ass. I hope I get to do the same and more in this one. I’ll need to tear myself away from FF7R and Dragon’s Dogma 2 for it long enough though, and that’s not an easy feat to achieve!

I’m very much looking forward to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. I love an JRPG binge and whilst I dont currently have Final Fantasy 16, this will be very welcome for me.

I’m really looking forward to Tales of Kenzera: ZAU which comes out just before my birthday. I was really impressed when it was recently shown at the Xbox Partner Preview in March. Kenzera is a side scrolling action platformer and reminded me of games like Ori and Prince of Persia. You play as a young shaman who bargains with the God of death to bring his father back from the darkness and must advance through mythological lands.

Harold Halibut is probably the most interesting game coming out in April for me, I love how it looks and I’m looking forward to playing it. Honorable mention: Gigantic: Rampage Edition because I really liked the original, even though I wasn’t great at it.
