Time to look back on the weekend! What did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from last week and what are we looking forward to? Our Eyes on the Week(end) article will answer these three questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I only managed to play two games over the course of my weekend as I found the heat a little too much for my liking; don’t fancy my chances for gaming this week! Firstly, I finished my playthrough of Freshly Frosted and I intend on writing my review this week so make sure you keep your eyes open for that. The other game I ventured into was Road 96 and this one definitely took me by surprise in a positive way. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has access to Xbox Games Pass and likes choice-making titles because of how various factors affect your journey. Not only this but you meet some interesting characters along the way – some kinder than others I must say.
Most exciting news of last week: Seeing the official trailer to The Dark Pictures Anthology: The Devil in Me was pretty exciting. Plus, seeing The Quarry has now been updated to include a multiplayer mode, also known as “Wolf Pack”, was pleasant news to me.
Looking forward to playing this week: Road 96 is my only focus this week other than my review games.

This weekend I played some Fire Emblem: Three Hopes on the Nintendo Switch and started enjoying myself more. Though the micromanagement and relationships between characters are more interesting than the combat. I also started playing Bright Memory: Infinite for a review. You’ll be able to hear more about that soon!
Most exciting news of last week: I’ll go with worst news of the week instead: looks like next weekend will have a heatwave. So better stay inside and play games, amirite?
Looking forward to playing this week: I’m thinking about picking up Klonoa, as that looks like a great platformer.

This weekend I played a few different indie game demos I had installed on my Xbox One, some from last year and others from this year’s Summer Game Fest demo event. I also restarted playing a little bit of my favorite GTA, GTA IV, as I finally have access to both of its DLCs. I will only start them after I’m finished with the main game though.
Most exciting news of last week: E3 being announced to return in 2023.
Looking forward to playing this week: More GTA IV and 2 games I’m going to start playing for my next reviews.

This weekend, I was hosting a friend from the United States. While it was a lot of fun, it did leave preciously little time to play video games. I did get some Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak in on Saturday night where I worked a bit on making an armor set for my sword and shield, as well as my charge blade.
Most exciting news of last week: After skipping out on it this year, E3 announced it will be back in 2023. I’m glad it’s returning, as I found the replacing events to be quite scattered.
Looking forward to playing this week: Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak. I’m still at it and think to soon be wrapping up the story.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
