In Eyes on the Weekend we share what our LifeisXbox team has been playing, most of the time we have our hands full with review games. Some of those have embargo’s so we can’t always openly share what we are playing. What is interesting for us is to see what YOU have been playing! Be sure to let us know on social media! 🙂

Robby (BloodyGoodReviews) | I played Alisa, a Belgian game that tries to emulate the good old days of the OG PlayStation Resident Evil games, but it’s been kicking my ass. The save files are far and few between and the enemies can easily stunlock you. Not for the faint of heart, but difficult to put down and I’m eager to start a new attempt. Definitely a survival horror title retro fans should try. I also spent some time cleaning up achievements in Riders Republic. Finally, a sports game that doesn’t forget that it’s a videogame and brings the fun. Happily surprised with this one and will stay installed for some time to come (be sure to check Jim’s review!) Lastly, I participated in a technical test for an upcoming AAA game, but that’s about all I can share for now. Perhaps more on this later when the embargo breaks.
Rafael | Although working most of the weekend, I was able to play a couple of hours of an old favorite in my 360. The (arguably) best Need for Speed ever created, NFS Most Wanted. Yes, a 16 yo title that still beats a lot of racing games from the current and last generations. The feeling of cruising the streets at high speed with cops in your neck, dodging roadblocks, helicopters, and ranking up the blacklist while listening to that awesome playlist hasn’t changed to me. Too bad it isn’t a backwards compatible title so only those who still own an Xbox 360 can enjoy it
Alexis | Nothing here, we had a cultural weekend
VicciVulpix | Over the course of the weekend, I actually played a couple of games for a change. I decided to venture back to Borderlands 3 as I had a DLC (Bounty of Blood) that was yet to be completed. I went through and completed the entire DLC and defeated Hemovorous the Invincible. Now I only have one achievement left for the full completion which is to obtain 100 items of gear from Arms Race. I also went onto WarFrame as I’ve been trying to keep up with the nightwave challenges to obtain the rank 30 rewards. Still a little frustrated that rewards are being recycled every few nightwaves so if you’ve already previously got it, you get credit to spend on the nightwave store and this doesn’t seem worth it. Finally, I played a handful of games on SMITE in both arena and conquest. Got an achievement for Guan Yu, played some questionable games and enjoyed having my mixture of mid and support as always.
Maui | Had a pretty busy weekend meeting up with friends and going to FACTS so only played some Ghosts and Apples on my Nintendo Switch! I did delete my entire Animal Crossing: New Horizons island on Saturday evening and I’m planning to start over entirely this week, so exciting!
Michael | I had to work all day on Saturday and went to FACTS on Sunday so was pretty tired by Sunday evening 🙂
Orange Spark | I had a pretty filled weekend. Friday evening was spent putting extra air holes in space suits in Elite Dangerous Odyssey, which received a surprise patch to improve performance. I’m happy to report a most of my stuttering is gone from planetary settlements. Saturday I went to FACTS with Robby. A great time was had, enjoying gamer, geek and weeb culture to the fullest. Saturday evening and Sunday were spent playing more Monster Hunter World Iceborne. I’m gearing up to take on the Behemoth and Extreme Behemoth fight with some friends. This collaboration hunt with Final Fantasy 14 is structured a lot like one of their raid bosses, which makes it so tough to pull off.
Colombo | Finished Moonglow Bay, expect a review shortly, also played Microsoft Solitaire listening to music again
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
