Once again, I spent my entire weekend on one game in particular – Zero Escape: The Nonary Games which I came across while searching for a new game to play on Xbox Games Pass. My brain was made to work overtime for some of the puzzles; I may have looked elsewhere for help in some instances. As the game actually consists of two separate games that do connect to one another, the experiences were unique, making players make decisions throughout that ultimately affected the course you took. With a whole flow chart of choices to be made, endings varied dramatically, with characters surviving or dying in the life or death scenario known as the Nonary Games. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with this but now I will be looking to start a new lengthy title very soon.
Most exciting news of last week: Dragon Age Dreadwolf without a doubt! I’ve been waiting for the next Dragon Age instalment for the longest time so this made me incredibly happy to hear about it.
Looking forward to playing this week: The Raven Remastered, Edge of Eternity, Z-Warp, Dead By Daylight, and Firewatch.

I’m recovering from surgery and was bedridden for the last few days. Luckily, that did give me plenty of time to play some games. After beating Ratchet & Clank on PS5 as well as My Little Pony with my daughter, I moved on to some backlog titles: Far Cry 6 on Xbox (on the days where I actually succeeded in making it downstairs) and when I was stuck in bed I finally made some progress on Ace Attorney: Spirit of Justice on 3DS. Which is a hell of a lot longer than you’d expect, the final case already took me 10 hours and I’m not even done yet.
Most exciting news of last week: The PlayStation State of Play gave us some cool titles to look forward to that are also coming to Xbox. Most noteworthy: Street Fighter 6 and The Callisto Protocol.
Looking forward to playing this week: More Far Cry 6. Though the game is a bit too padded and large to my liking and it’s starting to feel like busywork.

This weekend I didn’t play too much, a friend offered to buy me a ticket to watch Jurassic World Dominion on Saturday, which I accepted and enjoyed watching and getting in touch with him since it had been a while since we’ve seen each other. I didn’t manage to finish Scarlet Nexus yet, but I played a bit of it. I also played a little bit of Golfie for an upcoming preview, so keep an eye out for that.
Most exciting news of last week: I’d say the rumour about Goldeneye 007 getting a remaster is interesting, even though I never played the original.
Looking forward to playing this week: More Scarlet Nexus, as I want to finish Yuito’s campaign and at least try out Kasane’s. Start my next review game, Crowalt: Traces of the Lost Colony.

Now that I’m back from holiday to Italy I’ve made sure to play my fill this weekend. But in that week I’ve gone from staying in an old castle near the Italian coast to building my own in the recent early access game V Rising. I’ve named my character Lenore after my favourite vampire from Netflix’s Castlevania. With the help of a generous friend, I’ve got a private server going where I’m playing with a small group for an upcoming preview. So look forward to that. When I wasn’t sucking blood, however, I was trucking across the stars in pursuit of the most ludicrous profits Elite Dangerous Odyssey has ever seen. Thursday marked the start of a community goal to re-launch the Golconda, a generation ship, that had made a plea to the galactic community for help after staying isolated for its centuries long voyage. The beauty of this is that one of the goods requested could be sold for a meager 900% profit margin. Not wanting the let a gold rush like that pass me up I hopped on the bandwagon and made bank. I also played some more GTA V with the regular crew, plus a new face who’s getting themself set up. Not really anything special to tell here, as I just hopped on to help prepare and execute the prison break heist.
Most exciting news of last week: While the steady trickle of Monster Hunter Sunbreak news would be nice, to sum up here, I’ll have to give it to the new Pokémon Scarlet & Violet trailer. It was announced that you’ll be able to play with up to 4 people in the same overworld, that Koraidon and Miraidon are the box legendaries and what they look like and that Toby Fox will return to make music for the games. Special mentions to Lechonk who we’ll be able to catch come November 18th 2022.
Looking forward to playing this week: I’ve picked Xenoblade Chronicles 2 back up while on holiday. I’m hoping to progress closer towards the end or finish the story.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
