Eyes on the Weekend (29-31 October)

In Eyes on the Weekend we share what our LifeisXbox team has been playing, most of the time we have our hands full with review games. Some of those have embargo’s so we can’t always openly share what we are playing. What is interesting for us is to see what YOU have been playing! Be sure to let us know on social media! 🙂

Robby (BloodyGoodReviews) | I played Riders Republic, for the most part, trying to get some hours in before I review it. So far really impressed with the sense of speed, the soundtrack and how fast everything loads. While not really that into the visual presentation or how to forced in a weird story with cringy acting. Overall a solid game that seems like 20h should cover completing it, so trying to do just that.

Alexis | Kids weekend, nothing done here

Aaron | This weekend I started Playing Deathloop. Nothing too in-depth to say at this point apart from the gunplay is really impressive and the voice acting is very over the top which adds to the game’s silliness. It’s not a very serious game (not that I think it tries to be) and I really like the core loop mechanic of which you die and repeat until you get it right. After spending about an hour doing this you can play from the other side of the game where you have to protect the loop & try and kill the person you have been playing as. It’s a really neat idea, especially if you are sympathetic to one character.

VicciVulpix | Due to the real world and responsibilities, I didn’t manage to play any games this weekend. However, I did thoroughly enjoy watching the SPL (SMITE Pro League) over the weekend. Always interesting and fascinating to see how the pros utilise their God, team fights, and objective control.

Maui | Family weekend, barely anything here

Colombo | Haven’t played much this weekend, some Microsoft Solitaire Collection while listening to music and a bit of Moonglow Bay for my next review

Bradley Delaere | This weekend I’ve started with replaying one of my favourite videogame series; The Legend of Spyro. Though not liked by many Spyro fans, you do have to admit that it’s pretty neat how much story there is to these games! Saturday I’ve started and completed The Legend of Spyro: a New Beginning, and Sunday I’ve started playing The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night where I’m currently halfway through! I have yet to master its combat system properly, but I’m getting there!
