Time to look back on the weekend! What did Friday, Saturday, and Sunday look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from last week and what are we looking forward to? These three questions will be answered in our Eyes on the Week(end) article!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I’m not even sure where I should begin with my weekend as I managed to play a selection of games during my weekend. I will start off by mentioning Will You Snail? because it’s my current review game and I’m trying my hardest to complete all the levels currently. Along with this, I have been working my way towards my completion of The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes as I have now completed the previous two. I’ve only got four achievements remaining to obtain. I did have a small play on Wolfenstein: The Old Blood and made progress. It’s a game I started some time ago and I would like to at the very least complete the story. FIFA 22 got another appearance too as I wanted to complete some FUT Squad Battles to get a few packs; didn’t get the best but certainly some players I can possibly work with for a second-team perhaps. I started and completed both Get-A-Grip Chip and the Body Bugs and Explosive Candy World (which will be getting a review soon). Finally, I went onto Xbox Games Pass and decided to try out Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master! and although it the music is nowhere near my usual interest, the game itself is something I can very easily jump in and out of from time to time so I’ll slowly be chipping away at this over time I think.
Most exciting news of last week: Fall Guys finally getting its much-anticipated release date for June and the possibility of OG Xbox games getting achievements, although this has yet to be confirmed.
Looking forward to playing this week: Will You Snail?, Explosive Candy World, FIFA 22, The Walking Dead: The Definitive Edition, Life is Strange: True Colours, Home Sweet Home, and I’m sure plenty more!

I had a busy weekend because of family events, but still found some time to play games. For my daily achievements, I played Race With Ryan and even got the full 1000G together with my kids. It’s a kart racer based on a YouTube-famous kid, who’s probably earned more before he even graduated than I will earn in my entire lifetime… Second, I also played quite some hours of Dolmen, a sci-fi souls-like that was just released and which I have been playing demos of since 2018. The full review will be up on LifeIsXbox soon, but I first want to beat the story before I really share any opinions on it.
Most exciting news of last week: Nothing game related, but just a nice personal update: I planned a few holidays, both with my family as well as with my grandfather and a trip to Gamescom as well. Will be nice finally going outside of Belgium again…
Looking forward to playing this week: Moo Lander, a mootroidvania from an indie studio I’ve been talking with for a year or two.

This weekend I spent most of my time working but I did manage to squeeze in all of the DLC for Sniper Elite 4 in preparation for Sniper Elite 5 this week. It’s a good collection of additional levels, weapon skins, characters and new weapons to enjoy. Sniper Elite is probably one of those guilty pleasure games for me. There isn’t anything inherently special about it, but those X-Ray kill cams never get old. Sunday night I spent time replaying through Bloodborne since I was craving some Dark Souls-esque gameplay since Elden Ring is done & dusted. I keep holding out hopes for a second entry into the series, but sadly, like Silent Hill, perhaps that ship has sailed.
Most exciting news of last week: Hearing that Embracer Group will start working on a new Tomb Raider & Deus Ex game now that they have bought the rights to them.
Looking forward to playing this week: Well I won’t be playing anything this week as I’ll be enjoying my trip in Italy!

Just like last weekend, I spent some more time playing Dead by Daylight, hunting for some more achievements. I’ve also played The Inner World – The Last Wind Monk, a game that’s currently available on Games with Gold. I’ve got all of the achievements on that game, but I wasn’t a huge fan of the genre.
I also played some Flat Kingdom Paper’s Cut Edition, the review for this should be up soon!
Most exciting news of last week: The announcement of DreamWorks Dragons: Legends of The Nine Realms! I’m really glad to see another video game in the How To Train Your Dragon franchise.
Looking forward to playing this week: Most likely be some more Dead by Daylight, but I may also work some more on the Tomb Raider achievements!

I thought I was going to finish Lost in Random in the middle of this week, but I only got to finish it this Saturday, it was totally worth playing it, if you’re interested it’s available on Xbox Games Pass through EA Play. I’ve started playing Scarlet Nexus, it seems to be interesting and I’m once again thanking Xbox Games Pass for the possibility of me playing it. Also played a game I’m currently previewing called Among Walls, not going to say much about it, but despite needing some more work, it’s actually pretty fun.
Most exciting news of last week: Fall Guys getting a release date on Xbox, June 21st.
Looking forward to playing this week: Scarlet Nexus and another game I’m going to review.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
