Time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

When I found time to play this week in the evening after battling the heatwave, I spent the majority of it playing TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3. The review went online yesterday and can be viewed [HERE] for easier access. I will continue playing as I want to aim for the completion eventually but I know it will be a slow burner.
Otherwise, just for something less stressful. I played a few games of Wheel of Fortune and SongPop Party. The summer playlist has been re-added and now works until September 10th. However, I did have to start a separate save file (thankfully there are three) for the recent title update achievement as it wouldn’t unlock on my original save. I did notice some of my achievements have now stopped progressing too so I’m slightly concerned they may be bugged now…
Most exciting news of this week: The release of Starfield! Plus, we finally have a release date for Stray Souls – October 2023!
Looking forward to playing: DE-EXIT – External Matters will be my main focus over the weekend with other games here and there.

Incredibly busy workweek with multiple game releases we’re helping on, but I even found some time to play one of them myself as I really dig 3D platformers. Boti: Byteland Overclocked has a lot of charm, especially thanks to your two floating companions.
I also played some Bombslinger, a Belgian take on a roguelike version of Bomberman, in a Wild West setting. It’s fun, but too difficult for me.
And just yesterday, I booted up Starfield, like 1 million other players around the world. Now I know Bethesda RPGs aren’t usually my thing, but I still wanted to give this an honest go. With only 2 hours played, I can’t form much of an opinion yet, but it feels like it has many of the same pitfalls as Fallout 3 & 4 or Skyrim. Things other people don’t mind, but that bothers me a lot. Like inventory management or too much busywork.
Most exciting news of this week: Starfield released.
Looking forward to playing: Lies of P is also coming out soon, and you can check how I felt about the preview [HERE] (spoilers: very excited)

I’ve had another busy week behind me, only leaving me a precious few hours this week to enjoy games.
The time I had however I spent in the Starfield, casually running through the main campaign, picking up side missions when they called to me. At the time of writing, I’ve just had to make what feels like the first important choice in the main storyline. I’m excited to see where it goes from here.
Most exciting news of this week: Starfield released fully on Wednesday. I hope everyone has fun with it.
Looking forward to playing: More Starfield, more Armored Core 6 and more Final Fantasy XIV.

This week I have been playing through Starfield for the second time. I am taking a slower approach this time & investigating & exploring anything & everything. If you didn’t get a chance to check out the Starfield review, you can do that [HERE].
Honestly, I think Starfield is going to keep me busy for a very long time. I just love finding new areas, new people, & new missions to complete. Not only that, I’m heavily into customising my ship & buying new parts whenever I can. I have 4 ships in my fleet now, 3 of which are heavily customised, & one which is stock for obvious reasons.
So far, this is the only game to ever really get me invested in photo mode too. There is something about taking photos in this game that just makes them look so amazing.
Most exciting news of this week: FSR 3 coming this year to a select few games, to all generation AMD gpu’s which will help allow any gamer to get better frame rates l, even on an extreme budget.
Looking forward to playing: More Starfield!

I’ve only played Agatha Christie – Hercule Poirot: The London Case this week again. I did watch a few movies this week though.
Most exciting news of this week: Starfield releasing and reaching 6 million players very quickly.
Looking forward to playing: Not sure yet, but I’ll probably start playing something soon.

This week I have sunk some hours into Starfield. I must say I am enjoying my time with it quite a lot. I am a big fan of Bethesda’s questlines when it comes to factions. Starfield is no different. Also that one quest with a winkyface emoji to Batman has been lots of fun. Quests in Starfield are obviously the star (no pun intended) of the show.
Though I am enjoying my time with it, I can see some issues with the game. Too many loading screens are breaking the immersion. Why does a space station need a loading screen for the airlock itself? I also don’t really like that some of the most basic features are locked behind the most annoying Bethesda Skilltree to date. As of now, I am certain this one is not worth a perfect 10, but is also too good to be a 7. I would personally be somewhere in the middle if I had to give a score at gunpoint.
Besides Starfield, I have been playing some more HYENAS and I have been playing some titles I can’t talk about yet. But believe me, I will once I am allowed to!
Most exciting news of this week: Has to be the fact that Nintendo secretly showed off the successor to the Nintendo Switch behind closed doors at Gamescom to key developers. Right under our noses and we had no idea. Should mean we will hear more about this soon enough!
Looking forward to playing: Must say I am kind of excited to play The Crew Motorfest, but probably won’t have the time for it soon. So I will take this moment to bring up Ad Infinitum. It’s a WW2 horror game coming out next week. Haven’t seen much about it, but what I have seen is peaking my interest.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
