Time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Another variety of games from me this week. Starting off by finishing my fourth game in the Gnomes Garden series, Gnomes Garden: Lost King, but have decided to take a break and will return to the final one eventually. I also started and completed Access Denied, a simple yet complicated puzzle game that requires you to decipher and crack codes to progress. Finally, I returned back to Scarlett Mysteries: Cursed Child to work on the full completion as I started it once before but never committed to playing it at the time. A casual point-and-click puzzle game that I found relaxing to work through. Of course, I further worked on Taiko no Tatsujin: The Drum Master as I aim to make progress on this every day where possible.
Most exciting news of this week: September Targets for TrueAchievements have started today which I always aim to complete. These include fighting games, coop achievements, and DLC completions/title updates. Also, having Wesker added to Dead by Daylight has been a breath of fresh air; his taunts are pretty amusing. Plus, combining this with seeing Sheva as a cosmetic for Jill brings back all the Resident Evil 5 vibes for me.
Looking forward to playing: Either Dragon Ball FighterZ or Mortal Combat 11, The Walking Dead: The Telltale Definitive Collection, Life is Strange: True Colours, Tinykin, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. (The last two have recently been added to Xbox Games Pass!)

Didn’t play a lot of games after Gamescom, Mostly Pokémon Shield on Nintendo Switch as it’s a relaxing game I can still play for a few minutes before bedtime. I also reviewed Like No Other: The Legend of the Twin Books, which you’ll be able to read in a tidbits article soon. Great adventure game but felt way too short at ~40 minutes total. You can already watch my full playthrough (with achievement guides) HERE.
Most exciting news of this week: We already knew You Suck At Parking was coming to Xbox Game Pass, but now we know the date: September 14th! I believe this is the first Belgian indie game to come to the service?
Looking forward to playing: Saints Row, it has its issues, but it’s a lot of fun!

It’s my birthday so I’ve managed to secure some time to play some games this week! First up, The Evil Within. I originally played this back when it launched but for some specific reasons, I am firing it back up and playing through this awesome survival horror game from the father of Resident Evil. The sets are amazing even if he does borrow from some of his previous work. The cinematic gameplay is something I am very drawn to so if you haven’t had a chance to play the series yet, definitely check them out.
I’ve also been back into Hunt: Showdown again this week since there is a new 3-month event going on. Snake Moon sees you collecting new equipment, weapons and skins to play with and dominate in this battle royale with a twist. Hunt Showdown is one of those games I rarely get tired of. It’s always so fun meeting players in the world and having an old-fashioned shoot-out with them. The twist here is that the world is filled with zombies, creatures and bosses for you to kill and claim perks, giving you a competitive edge. I highly recommend this game if you are into shooters and online multiplayer.
Most exciting news of this week: Nothing to report.
Looking forward to playing: Nothing to report.

This week I continued playing GTA IV, played a match of Dead by Daylight, and started playing Omega Strike which I won through the Microsoft Ambassadors program. I also decided to start rewatching Breaking Bad, and I didn’t remember the first episode was already this good, can’t wait to continue it.
Most exciting news of this week: Assassin’s Creed Mirage being officially announced, I’m curious to see more of it.
Looking forward to playing: I plan on continuing GTA IV, Omega Strike, and maybe play something else as well.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
