Time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Although I’m still fighting my body and mind, I did manage to get some more gaming in this week. I finally managed to go back and complete Sudocats. After some issues I encountered due to game sharing, I deleted all my saved data and restarted from the beginning. It didn’t take me long to get to where I originally was and as I love cats and sudoku it wasn’t an issue.
On the review front, I finally managed to get some energy and mentality together to play Boss Rush: Mythology and write the Tidbti-style review for it which can be found [HERE]. Diablo IV is next on the list as I continue to work my way through the seasonal content and get my main character to the maximum level eventually. Almost ready to delve into World Tier IV.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre eventually made its way into my games and, much to my surprise, I think I may prefer playing as the family currently. There is just something about playing Leatherface that I find strangely enjoyable. I’m currently levelling Julie and Leatherface but as I’m only player level 13 or 14, I still have a long way to go with the progression system. I still need to find out what works best for my playstyle.
Finally, to keep my achievement streak going, I have been playing through the cases of Accident – A simulator game that has you tending to casualties of car crashes, performing first aid where possible, and working out the cause. Not the best game in the world but it’s still interesting nonetheless.
Most exciting news of this week: Gamescom is currently ongoing and keeping us all up-to-date with the latest gaming news. Alan Wake II and Stalker 2 are currently what I’m most excited about. On more of a down note, seeing Phasmophobia has been delayed for console release was painful to read but I understand the need to push back the release. There’s plenty for me to do in the meantime!
Looking forward to playing: Accident, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Diablo IV, and TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3. I’ve also been playing with the idea of restarting Stardew Valley for something relaxing to play.

I’m at Gamescom, but I haven’t played any big titles yet. Was too busy working (for those who don’t know yet, I work in Games Marketing with my company Pirate PR) But we did get to hand out some amazing-looking coins!
Did meet some devs from games I recently reviewed though. like Koa and The 5 Pirates of Mara. They even gave me a cool 3D-printed figurine ^^
Most exciting news of this week: It’s Gamescom time, baby!
Looking forward to playing: I’m gonna try and check out Alan Wake II.

This week I played a few hours of Potata for an upcoming review. It’s a platformer that does have some charm, but I’m not entirely sold on it as of right now.
I played a little bit more of Eastward, and I’m still liking it, despite gaming feeling a little bit like a burden lately as if I had an obligation to play the dozens of games on my backlog, which only grows.
Most exciting news of this week: Nothing incredible that I can think of, but there was new Mortal Kombat 1 news, and we got confirmation that Baldur’s Gate III is coming to Xbox Series S/X this year.
Looking forward to playing: Curious if Potata will be getting better, we’ll see. I’ll likely also play more Eastward.

I did things this week! Though not nearly as much as I wanted to do. I went back to Monster Hunter Rise as I needed a game I could play on my own schedule, easy to drop in and out, and where I could feel like I was making progress in those sessions. I love that it is still regularly updated, I never run out of content!
Speaking of updates, Phasmophobia received possibly its biggest update since the game’s been available. Progression was reset for everyone and all items now have tiers that must be unlocked and purchased. We’ve been having fun enjoying the challenge of going back to square one.
Most exciting news of this week: Baldur’s Gate III keeps making waves and Diablo IV keeps sinking. Armored Core VI should be already out by now. And I think there’s a small games-related event going on right now? Haven’t heard much about that…
Looking forward to playing: Is saying ‘more Phasmo and Rise’ too easy? Because it’s true. Also Persona 5 Royal.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
