It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Happy New Year! We’re already five days in and I’ve got an optimistic feeling about 2024 so I’m already looking forward to whatever lies ahead. I’ve made a list of twelve games I’d like to complete by the end of the year, one for each month but it’s going to take time, effort, and dedication. Dead by Daylight was the highlight of my week again but sadly, the Bone Chill Event is now officially over. The only reward I didn’t manage to get was a head cosmetic for a character I never play but this could only be earned if I played killer (which is extremely rare for me) so I can’t complain. I’m going to miss the snowball fights!
Sea of Thieves has also kept on my compass with Lewis. I’m currently working towards maxing out the remaining trading companies, The Order of Souls and Merchant Alliance, which are almost at max level for safer seas. Voyages and world events are still getting their fair share of action and we’re enjoying mixing up our playtime with different content. I hope that one day we can get the courage to jump into higher seas servers but I don’t think that will happen anytime soon. It just looks like too much stress to even consider.
Most interesting news of this week: I can’t believe I’m about to say this but the Xbox Series S Toaster is being rolled out globally soon. They now need to make the entire set by including a kettle and microwave!
Looking forward to playing: DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters, The Ascent, Dead by Daylight and Sea of Thieves are my plans for this week if I have the time, energy, and ability; fingers crossed!

I’ve been attacking my backlog a little over the holidays. Suffered from some bad health (several IBS attacks) so decided to take it slow and spent a lot of time at home.
I played some The Crew Motorfest and I’m close to beating all of the events and I finished Little Orpheus in a few sittings. A charming sidescrolling platformer that has more in common with a walking simulator than it does with other platformers. I loved how the story was told by an unreliable narrator, made for some really unique interactions and the music was amazing as well. I also finished my first run through Final Fantasy Theathrythm Final Bar Line on the Switch, but I’m not done with that game yet, I’ll be spending over 100 hours with it if the previous game is any sign.
Most interesting news of this week: Signed a lot of games to work on for Pirate PR, but not really much I can share at this point.
Looking forward to playing: I’m excited to play the new Prince of Persia title soon!

This week I’ve been wrapping up Baldur’s Gate 3 so expect the review in the next week or so. It’s been a wild ride, full of ups & downs so far, & I’m interested to see where the game takes me in the final act. Interestingly, I’ve also managed to get my new Meta Quest 3 (finally) & have been busy setting that up also.
The mixed reality on the headset is very impressive, & while it’s hard to explain just how exciting it has been, imagine this. You can play & create with LEGO in your own home with no game world around you. Just you, your hands (or controllers) & an infinite amount of LEGO bricks. It is insane.
Other than that, I’ve also been playing some Resident Evil 4 VR, & it’s been very cool wielding a shotgun & a pistol at the same time. Very fun indeed!
Most interesting news of this week: I don’t really know. I guess I’ve been living inside Baldur’s Gate for too long.
Looking forward to playing: More Baldur’s Gate 3.

I have finally finished My Time at Sandrock and I really liked it. You can read my review of it [HERE] for more details but something that occurred to me days after I published my review is that it reminds me of Toy Story 3’s sandbox mode back in the Xbox 360.
Despite me not finishing Lies of P yet, I decided to start Atomic Heart. I’m playing it with Russian audio, which has been interesting, but so far I’m liking it.
I also played a bit of Lethal Company with friends, I haven’t been able to help much, but at least I didn’t die much as well and still had fun with it.
Most interesting news of this week: The original Mickey Mouse becoming public domain, which already resulted in a game announcement with him.
Looking forward to playing: More Atomic Heart, Lies of P, and Lethal Company.

I finally got that last pesky achievement in Cursorblade. I just sucked so hard at the game that it took me hours to get a score of 100k with the glass blade. I’m glad I got it and now have all the achievements, but I’m surprised how much fun I still had while trying to get that achievement for hours. I kept coming back to the game to give it a new try and another, and another…
I also started playing Infectonator 3: Apocalypse, which is already a bit of an older game by now, and at first, I didn’t like it that much… Had no idea what I was doing, and thought I had no chance to win that specific run, but slowly I understood more of the game and I even completed the game within like 2 days. I wish it would explain more of the game, so the beginning didn’t feel like a slog but overall such a fun game.
I got Pizza Possumas a gift this week and man what a fun game, easy controls, easy concept, and just a lot of fun! I think this one would have even more fun in local coop, and I know the game is also easier that way, but I highly recommend it.
I have started FixFox, ahhh it is so nice to repair (or clean) things in games, it feels so fulfilling and I can’t really explain why, but it just is. I don’t like fixing stuff and cleaning IRL but in games, the end result is instant and just feels good. Another game full of humor and I’m excited to see where the story goes, as I’m only at the beginning of chapter 3 yet.
Most interesting news of this week: Boomer shooter is an official tag on Steam now, I’m unsure why or how, but Valve are you open to more tags? As I have some suggestions… like for example Dwarves.
Looking forward to playing: More FixFox!
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
