It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

Damn, I’ve had a massive mixture of gaming variety this week! This is not in any particular order as I honestly can’t remember what order I played everything in and I’ve been between games frequently. I began my playthrough on Friday The 13th: Killer Puzzle but this was purely so I could earn my TrueAchievement monthly medal. I intend to return to complete the game eventually but I honestly can’t say when that will be.
One of my recent cosy games has been getting more playtime so I can complete more quests and work towards my achievements. Disney Dreamlight Valley still has my attention and is starting to lure me into the creative side of making the valley layout suit your style. I haven’t done much designing or decorating but I can see the appeal. I’ve got a long way to go for the completion but I hope to put a dent into the remaining achievements daily.
I finally managed to get my review for A Little to the Left published so that can be read [HERE] – I’m still on my daily mission of completing my 30 consecutive days of tidies though so I won’t be leaving this behind any time soon. In addition to this, I played through Cat and Ghostly Road this week which was an interesting change of view and pace. My review for this is also live on the website which can be read [HERE] if you have a moment.
For another new game, I played an oddly familiar game called Milky Way Prince – The Vampire Star. I say oddly familiar as there were many references to mental health, in particular Borderline Personality Disorder, which I’ve never seen before. It gets my seal of approval but I believe some references are exaggerated. It’s also not your typical visual novel style so that caught my attention.
Finally, I’ve been completing my daily and weekly challenges on Fall Guys and found a new love for survival shuffle and solos chill. This is so I can earn Kudos and get my achievement for purchasing 50 cosmetics from the store.
Most interesting news of this week: The 1.6 update for Stardew Valley has intrigued me and I’m thinking of returning, starting a new save, and trying everything out again. Also, not Xbox-related, but Jak & Daxter: The Final Frontier is now on PlayStation and I’m dying to play it! I will play it when I get some spare time as I need to plug in my PlayStation again!
Looking forward to playing: I’ve got many games on my ‘to play’ list so watch this space!

I’ve beaten Let’s! Revolution! a few times for my upcoming review and I can already tell you it’s one to keep an eye on if you ever liked playing Minesweeper.
And Dragon’s Dogma 2 just arrived and I’ve played about an hour. It’s too early to make a verdict, but the pawns are sooooo much better. No repeated voice lines, they point you to the next object, give you high fives and behave really helpful in combat. I’m a bit worried about timed quests giving me some FOMO though.
I also started playing Valiant Hearts because Ubisoft just released a next-gen update version of it in a bundle and, while it’s nice on the history front, I’m not a big fan of the sidescrolling puzzle-based gameplay.
Most interesting news of this week: A game I’m working on (Zoochosis) was just in the GamesRadar Future Game Show! And we’ll have more to share soon!
Looking forward to playing: More Dragon’s Dogma 2!

Another week has come and gone, and at this point, I feel like I’ve been naturalised as a citizen of Super Earth with the amount of time I spent in HELLDIVERS 2. While I only did one session with friends, I joined other lobbies pretty much daily to help drive back the terminids. The bots are getting some time to compile their final farewells before we go scrap ’em.
Back in Final Fantasy XIV, I’ve started on the beast tribe questlines for the Ananta and the Kojin. Besides the fact that they’re simply on the list and need doing, they also have some emotes and minions locked behind their progression that I want. It’ll take a while to complete, but I’m here for the long haul anyway.
Up among the stars I’ve been diligently preparing for Acheron’s arrival in Honkai Star Rail, farming her trace materials mainly. Last week I got some promising gear pieces for her, but only time will tell if the stats are good for her. Next week I’ll likely know more since her banner and the 2.1 update go live on Wednesday.
Most interesting news of this week: Apparently, Larian Studios is done with Baldur’s Gate 3, and the franchise as a whole, and that’s fine.
Looking forward to playing: As I’m writing this, Steam is almost done downloading Dragon’s Dogma 2. I’m so ready to get sucked into that adventure.

This week I’ve finished playing Alan Wake II and it was an amazing game that looked really good and kept me hooked until I finished it. It was one of the best games I’ve played in years. The only downside of it was its ending; it wasn’t bad but I believe it could’ve been better as it felt sudden.
I’ve played through Ravenlok and Jusant, both were interesting and looked good in different ways.
I tried playing A Little to the Left. It took me a while to get what I needed to do, but I managed to complete a few levels, and I don’t think I’ll be coming back to it. You can read Vicci’s review of it [HERE].
I tried Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for about two hours and enjoyed it, but I don’t think I’ll be playing through it yet. I also tried starting DuckTales Remastered, but it felt pretty difficult for me on normal, so I’ll probably restart it on easy whenever I decide to play it again.
Finally, I decided to start a new playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077, to play the 2.0 patch and the DLC afterwards.
Most interesting news of this week: The most relevant thing that comes to mind is the Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra’s trailer.
Looking forward to playing: More Cyberpunk 2077 and probably come back to The Mobius Machine.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
