It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I would like to start by wishing everyone a Merry Christmas however you may be spending this festive time of year. I can’t believe we’re almost in 2024! I say this when coming up to a new year each time but I’m desperate to make some major changes to my lifestyle and focus on bettering myself.
Anyway, enough about that! I’ve spent all week playing a game I never thought I would return to in my wildest dreams. However, with the addition of safer seas, my entire week has been spent on Sea of Thieves with Lewis and we’ve been extremely busy cruising through the seas! From Gold Hoarder voyages to Skull Forts, defeating Ashen Lords to casual fishing, fighting Megladons to Tall Tales – we’ve done it all and we’re still going, not planning on stopping anytime soon. There’s more content than I thought (bearing in mind that I haven’t played since 2018) so plenty of achievements and commendations to work towards.
Most interesting news of this week: Other than the Insomniac hacking scenario, It’s made my week to see The Finals getting the recognition it deserves and hope it continues to thrive.
Looking forward to playing: I don’t know why I fill this in as it’s forever changing! I’ll go with Sea of Thieves, Dead by Daylight, and review games. That’s just a calculated assumption though.

I’m taking it slow on the reviewing side of things and tackling some backlog. On Xbox, I’m back to playing The Crew Motorfest, which is an underestimated racing game that has hours of content.
On the Nintendo Switch, I’m playing the new Pokémon Violet DLC but I’ve made almost zero progress in the story and just found myself wandering around and catching new Pokémon to fill the pokédex.
On PC, I’m playing a surprisingly addictive holiday-themed roguelike shooter called Xmas Apocalypse. It’s a fun indie game that kept me playing way longer than I expected to.
Most interesting news of this week: Insomniac’ hacked information being thrown into the wild with malicious intent.
Looking forward to playing: I’m going to roulette what game to play next, but probably After Us or going back to Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Hello & Merry Christmas everyone!
This week I managed to finish up Like a Dragon Gaiden: The man who erased his name. An amazing game despite being one of the shorter entries in the series, but it does include a special demo for infinite wealth. Just don’t play the English dub.
I started playing Baldur’s Gate 3 for a review this week as well & have already sunk around 10+ hours into it. I know I’m a little late to the party with this one but it’s such an in-depth game where every choice matters.
Finally, I was able to add another few hours into Lethal Company. Have been playing this since launch & the sheer amount of content that gets added with each update is great. Every experience has been amazing & the stuff that I’ve seen will most likely require me needing therapy at some point.
Most interesting news of this week: Insomniac hack has to be the worst & biggest news. My heart goes out to the entire dev team having their work paraded around & being made fun of. Not cool.
Looking forward to playing: Baldur’s Gate 3.

First things first, I wish all of you reading this a Merry Christmas! Hopefully, you can spend it with the people you find the most important in your life, or at least relax and enjoy the day by yourself.
Now, back to the usual gaming-related content, to the surprise of no one who’s been keeping track of my latest entries on Eyes on the Week, I’m still playing My Time at Sandrock, and enjoying it. I am also still playing Fusion Paradox for an upcoming review, I don’t have a whole lot to say about it yet, so I’ll keep playing for a little while longer.
I did play through the Shadows of Rose DLC for Resident Evil Village last Sunday as well as finishing High on Life.
Most interesting news of this week: Insomniac’s Wolverine leaks.
Looking forward to playing: More My Time at Sandrock, Fusion Paradox, and maybe going back to playing Lies of P.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
