It’s time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

As I’ve spent this week with Lewis for his birthday and our anniversary, I’ve played some additional games this week and made progress on another I haven’t touched since October last year.
That being said, I have continued playing Genshin Impact as I still need to keep on track with my daily and weekly tasks. I have also started a story quest for Nahida and Mizuki while completing one for Yoimiya as it was recommended for the current event. A couple of world quests have also been ticked off my to-do list which was a relief. Plus, I have 50 wishes ready to drop on Wriothesley when his banner comes out!
Me and Lewis decided to try Overwatch 2 together again since they’ve added the perks and loot boxes are back. Games were good and then, well, not so good. I’m looking forward to doing my competitive placements for support and trying more heroes to see what perks they have. I’m dreading the upcoming third person addition though.
The game I returned to this week was Life is Strange 2. I completed Episode 3 – Wasteland and still can’t stand my little brat of a younger brother! He never listens and makes my blood boil. I’ll be playing Episode 4 – Faith tonight and complete Episode 5 – Wolves tomorrow or Sunday.
Then, we have the two new games. The first being TCG Card Shop Simulator. I’ve enjoyed almost every second of running my own card shop. Watching people play, buying my products, asking to sell/trade cards, paying bills and even the restocking process. Why almost? People robbing me blind when I’m trying to put new stock out is incredibly frustrating so I’ve resorted to doing it when the shop is closed now. My best pull is around £600 but my goal is to collect every single card so I only sell my duplicates.
Secondly, we have Contraband Police which I’ve been interested in for quite some time since watching streamers play it on Twitch. Another game which has lived up to my expectations but I just like inspecting the vehicles and upgrading – not a huge fan of the shootouts but I knew what I was getting into when I started.
Most interesting news of this week: Avowed, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and Like a Dragon: Pirate Yazuka in Hawaii all released this week which is exciting; different genres to explore!
Looking forward to playing: Genshin Impact, perhaps TCG Card Shop Simulator and two new review games!

I played a ton of Steam Next Fest demos ahead of the event. Is this Seat Taken (part Belgian) is a super cozy and smart puzzler about placing characters in a space according to their demands.
I went back to Katanaut, because now I’m a freaking NPC in the game. Yes, you read that right, there is a Pirate PR NPC in a game. It’s even present in the demo already. Check the recording [HERE].
I also went back to Deck of Haunts to see the improvements and was happily surprised. This will be a ghostly sleeper hit!
I installed a ton more demos for the coming weeks too!
On Xbox I beat a few runs of Slay The Spire using a combo so broken, it crashed the game multiple times. Fun for a while, but after about 40 hours I’m getting tired of the game.
Most interesting news of this week: I’m going to the DEBUG Indie Awards because 6 of our games are nominated
Looking forward to playing: I intend to beat Donkey Kong Country Returns HD this weekend so I can write my review!

I finished playing Inscryption for the second time, now on Xbox, and it was as good as I remembered it being. Speaking of already played games, I played a tiny bit of Balatro this week again.
I started playing Ziggurat on Xbox, and I can’t help but feel like it would be a lot better to play it with a mouse and keyboard instead of a controller. Still, it was still fun nonetheless.
Finally, I played quite a bit more of Persona 3 Reload again. I still have a few hours to go, but I’m finally getting close to finishing it, then I’ll have the “The Answer” DLC to play afterwards. I was thinking of rushing through the whole game again after it but it’s so big that it makes me feel discouraged.
Most interesting news of this week: Avowed finally releasing.
Looking forward to playing: More Persona 3 Reload and Ziggurat.

I played some Basureoes, which is a fun, action-packed, pixel-art side-scrolling platform game that takes a lot of inspiration from retro games such as Mega Man. Each hero you can play as has their own unique ability, which is needed as you navigate each level. It also has up to 4-player couch co-op, which adds to the fun and makes some levels a little easier.
I have also played a little more of Eternal Strands, which I really enjoyed. You can read my review [HERE].
I have also been playing Momodora: Moonlit Farewell, which is an indie Metroidvania-Style game where you play as Momo, the High Priestess of the village of Koho, as she embarks on a divine mission to save her people from imminent destruction.
Finally, I have been playing Ultros, another Metroidvania, which has more vibrant colors on screen than a rainbow. You control a space traveler who wakes up on an alien spaceship and must explore and navigate to find a way home.
Most interesting news of this week: Tony Hawks Pro Skater announcement teased in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s latest map.

Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
