Time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

This week for me has practically all been about playing Chained Echoes. I’m currently playing it as a review game but it’s definitely a game I can see myself sinking hours into and becoming engrossed within. I don’t want to give too much away but I can happily say I haven’t got anything bad to say about it so far.
I have also reinstalled Warframe as I would like to get caught up on all the new content that has been added since I’ve been away and find out about everything that has changed. I desperately want to get my 100% completion back too so I’ll be working on that from time to time once I find out what is required.
Most exciting news of this week: Nothing much has caught my eye this week but I was surprised to see Beacon Pines is getting some new content in its next update with new achievements too.
Looking forward to playing: Much more Chained Echoes and another review game hopefully!

Hogwarts Legacy, Wanted: Dead and a few secret games. That’s my gaming week in a nutshell 🙂 I did not have that much time for my Xbox as I had a busy work week and Valentine’s too!
Most exciting news of this week: Cities Skylines Remastered for Xbox Game Pass. A game that you can easily play for 200+ hours.
Looking forward to playing: The new Pinball FX

I kept playing HiFi Rush and finally beat the game. I was super excited when Invaders Must Die kicked in and that level also happened to have the best boss fight in the game. [WATCH HERE]
I also started playing Fire Emblem: Engage some more, but I haven’t gotten really far yet because I have a bit of JRPG burnout after One Piece Odyssey. I did get my racing on, with Hot Wheels Unleashed and Gigantosaurus Dino Kart (review of the latter coming soon)
Most exciting news of this week: We’re organising the Bitkroeg Awards 2022. our Flemish podcast will once again host a live show with awards, quizzes and lots of talk about games.
Looking forward to playing: Atomic Heart is coming out soon, or so I’ve heard…

This week I finally got to play some more Dead Space Remake. I am slowly getting through it & really digging the atmosphere. However, I also started Hi-Fi Rush this week, and that is where I spent most of my time gaming.
I am a huge fan of rhythm games in general, such as Guitar Hero, Gitaroo Man and even BPM (Bullets Per Minute) which is a first-person shooter in the same vein as Doom, but you shoot to the beat of the music. It’s super fun! Anyway, Hi-Fi Rush really captured me because of the art style alone, but I was super thrilled to learn it was also done by one of my favourite studios, Tango Gameworks. I am a huge fan of their previous titles, and I have already seen the speculation around The Evil Within 3 being somewhat referenced in the game. Time will tell, but I hope so.
Combining rhythm with action from DMC, it is a match made in heaven. This will surely be one of my top 10 games this year, and it’s not even horror!
Most exciting news of this week: Realising that Atomic Heart is a Game Pass game!!! What! How did I not know this?!
Looking forward to playing: More Dead Space Remake & Hi-Fi Rush.

I wasn’t able to play much this week other than a little bit of the new mode in Hitman 3. I only managed to open other games from Xbox Games Pass for challenges.
Most exciting news of this week: I haven’t kept up with gaming news much this week so nothing to mention here.
Looking forward to playing: I’m hoping to finish Persona 5 Royal next week.

This week on “Eyes on the Week”: Has Thomas finally played enough Final Fantasy XIV? Why does my brain not understand 4D FPS chess? Are The ghosts more afraid of me than I of them? And let’s revisit Hyrule anno 2017 once more.
It’s quite simple really, I’ve not nearly had enough Final Fantasy XIV Endwalker. Pressing on with the main story questline the Warrior of Light sets off to yet another chilly and barren land. Ever since stormblood I’ve been anticipating this location, and I’m excited to kick some [REDACTED] butt.
Next up is Lemnis Gate. Ooh boy, not often does a game make my head hurt like that one. The very concept of a turn-based time loop hero shooter sounds so cool but is hard to work out when your brain has about as many threads as an Intel Pentium processor.
In Phasmophobia I found out Ghosts are not more afraid of me than I am of them. At all. In a big, dark school building this time. Why do I do this to myself?
And lastly, since I’ve been looking where and if I could order a collectors edition of the upcoming Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom I got that hunkering for another Breath of the Wild playthrough. Luckily, I had a save where I’d just gotten all the early-game quests out of the way and could get right into the fun parts.
Most exciting news of this week: Besides the surprise official Team Fortress 2 blog post from last Friday, nothing really stuck.
Looking forward to playing: More Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Just in case Tears of the Kingdom looks at your Breath of the Wild save like the Witcher and Mass Effect would, I’d like a complete one to be there.
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
