Time to look back on the week we’ve just had! What did the weekdays look like for our writers? What was the biggest news from the week? and what are we looking forward to playing during the upcoming weekend? Our Eyes on the Week article will answer all three of these questions!
We’re curious about your opinion and played games, so be sure to share your stuff on our social media channels!

I started my week off by completing The Dark Pictures Anthology – The Devil in Me, which also allowed me to achieve 500K gamerscore! Another milestone achieved and now onto the next. This also made me determined to go back and complete The Dark Pictures Anthology – House of Ashes so I now have each game from season one complete, ready for whenever Directive 8020 releases.
As for other games, I have been continuing my playthrough of DE-EXIT – Eternal Matters while also spending a little time chipping away at TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 as this will be a game I chip away at over time. Last but not least, I have just published my next review game called Escape from Terror City in our tidbit style that can be read [HERE] if you’re interested. It’s all go for me right now but that’s what I enjoy; always having something to keep me occupied.
Most exciting news of this week: Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Years has an April 2024 release date and it’ll be Day One on Xbox Games Pass!
Looking forward to playing: All of my review games!

I took a (forced) break from Starfield as I am reviewing The Crew Motorfest. Ubisofts’ latest racer is pretty damn good though, so while the universe from Starfield still calls my name I’m having a lot of fun with the Crew. So you can expect that review after the weekend.
Most exciting news of this week: I’m a Tomb Raider fan, happy to see a remake of the first three games in February.
Looking forward to playing: STARFIELD!!!!! The urge to explore new worlds in huge.

I’ve got my hands full in the coming weeks. We’re helping with two games that release this week: GAZZLERS, a Belgian-made VR game that feels like a mix between Mad Max, Borderlands and Raving Rabbids, and Boti: Byteland Overclocked. So didn’t have that much time to play games myself.
I did receive a copy of The Crew Motorfest yesterday and played it for about 3 hours and to answer your question: yes, it’s exactly like Forza Horizon. But no, that’s not a bad thing. I’m actually having a lot of fun with it. You can check a Let’s Play by me [HERE].
I also tried to play some Starfield, but after about 5-6 hours total I decided it was just not for me.
Most exciting news of this week: Unity making a shitshow of things with their recent changes and screwing devs over. this won’t be end of things, I expect lawsuits and court cases over this.
Looking forward to playing: More The Crew, Mortal Kombat 1 and Lies of P.

Another week of having a rather limited amount of time to play games has passed, yet I feel I did more meaningful things with the time I had. In Honkai Star Rail I finished up the revival of the Aurum Alley. The limited-time event period was entering the single digits of days left, so I cleared the remaining tier in an afternoon so I could move on to the new Simulated Universe mode. I’m also well underway in building up my stellar jades to try and get Diviner Fu Xuan from the upcoming banner. Keeping my fingers crossed for that one.
I also played some Armored Core 6 in which I worked my way through chapter 3. I feel like my piloting has improved a lot, and I’m at the point where I really start to play around with my builds. Most of the time I’m running the frame parts you get from earning combat logs, shotguns on both arms, a pilebunker on my shoulder and some plasma missiles to keep the pressure up. I’ve just taken down the Iceworm and am ready to see what the rest of the story holds.
I’m also logging in on Final Fantasy XIV mostly every day for a quick dungeon run or two. I’ve also started the Endwalker raid questline to earn some more tomestones while it’s extra popular. The fights have been good fun so far, and the story is starting to get interesting. I’m tackling raid #3 this evening, and think I might get through some more on the weekend.
Last but not least I made sure to sacrifice some sleep each day to play Starfield. I am so tired… But I’m having a blast on my space adventures! Finally certified to use B-class ships, I’ve been using and even started to modify the ship I helped Stroud Eklund put into production. It also feels like I’m getting close to the end of the main story, and I’m eager to dive into New Game +.
Most exciting news of this week: Steam turned 20 years old this Tuesday and is celebrating with a sale! The sale’s main page takes you down memory lane as it works its way back to the present. I also heard that the Unity game engine has been doing a lot of free advertising for Unreal engine.
Looking forward to playing: Even more Starfield and Honkai Star Rail. With a good helping of luck, I might unlock Fu Xuan when she releases, opening up a bunch of new team compositions.

This week I didn’t vary a whole lot, but I did manage to play a bit of Mystic Gate for an upcoming review, it’s interesting but very similar to another game I’ve played for quite a few hours.
I also started replaying Kingdom Hearts III because I bought the ReMIND DLC on sale, and thought it was a good idea to replay the game before playing it, only got to the first save point though.
I also got Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory and Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition both on sale, the latter being bought entirely with MS Rewards points.
Most exciting news of this week: The new Unity ridiculous fee per install being announced.
Looking forward to playing: More Kingdom Hearts III and Mystic Gate.

In ArcSys’s trademarked holding pattern, Guilty Gear Strive is fun again! And the servers… I’m not gonna say work but are working. So I’ve gone back to it and I’ve been having a blast incorporating the new mechanics into matches and just fighting people again. Amazingly, lowering the damage, which the community begged for during the entire lifespan of the game but was ‘quintessential to the battle flow of Strive’, made the game more fun! It’s almost like the community sometimes knows best.
Beyond that, I’ve made some really exciting purchases lately! I managed to get my hands on Mass Effect Legendary Edition, probably my most loved franchise after Prince of Persia. And yes, you can bet every last penny that I’ll mod it to hell and back. What’s more, I had enough left over that I could get Death Stranding on sale! I don’t know when I’ll get into either of those, but I am beyond excited.
Most exciting news of this week: Unity has decided to compete in the heavily contested field of ‘worst company in gaming’ with a very strong entry. It amused me to no end to see so much support for an up-and-coming engine in their forums! Godot that is, everyone was dumping on Unity, as they should be.
Looking forward to playing: Some more Strive, got lots of training to do! Mass Effect (again) at some point. And we’ll be jumping into Remnant: From the Ashes this weekend with my group!
Hello, I’m Victoria. I’m from the UK and have been playing video games for as long as I can remember; back on DreamCast. I’ve pretty much fallen for Xbox since I was around eight years old and remember BioShock being my first game on the Xbox360. Although I find it thoroughly enjoyable to not only experience gameplay, I also find comfort in getting lost and engrossed in the online worlds that sometimes differ greatly from what we know. Another side of my Xbox passion would be achievement hunting and gamerscore. I thrive when I hear the little sound of one popping up on the screen and I’m always finding ways to work on my backlog when possible. Horror is my favourite genre so if you have any recommendations, don’t be afraid to send them my way!
