LifeisXbox was invited to the Bandai Namco press presentation and they had one hell of a line-up! After a short briefing, we got to play Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, Code Vein, The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan and from the studio that Microsoft recently bought, Double Fine’s game RAD. We also received this awesome collectible from Little Nightmares 2!
Our hands-on articles can be found here:
- One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 (Coming soon!)
- Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (Coming soon!)
- Code Vein (Coming soon!)
We skipped RAD, this one was already out on Xbox and The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan in favor of bringing out a review.
Little Nightmares 2 was without a doubt the star of the day. When it was announced at Opening Night Live at Gamescom I was super excited and happy! I sat next to a friend of mine from GamingBoulevard and we both had that adrenaline “hell yeah” moment! At the Bandai Namco briefing we got some extra information. Developer Tarsier added an extra character named Mono, so far they only confirmed that Mono will be a computer-controlled character, maybe they will confirm co-op later, maybe they won’t. Sneaking remains your best chance to survive as playable character Six, but with Mono some original gameplay mechanics will be available too. As a bonus, the dev can add more variation in puzzles and enemy encounters.
Personally, I loved the first Little Nightmares! Both my criticisms, loading times and the short story were discussed and Tarsier promised to improve on that in this sequel. Little Nightmares 2 is coming in 2020.
